Please ensure that you read carefully the following Terms and Conditions prior to proceeding with your order.
ELIGIBILITY to use a JAPAN RAIL PASS:
1. Australian Passport holders: you are a foreign tourist visiting Japan from overseas for sightseeing. Australian passport holders can stay in Japan for up to 90 days and must enter Japan under the status of "temporary visitor". When you enter Japan for sightseeing, Immigration will stamp your passport as "temporary visitor".
Only travelers who have a passport showing this stamp can use a Japan Rail Pass.
2. Japanese Passport holders: You are a Japanese national living outside Japan who meets the following conditions:
*To purchase an Exchange Order from Japan Package Tours in Australia, you must present your Japanese passport and proof of eligibility.
*To be eligible you must have stayed in Australia for 10 consecutive years. Proof of eligibility can be provided by the Japanese Consulate. For further details on eligibility, JPT can forward a PDF explaining the process in Japanese.
VALIDITY for a JAPAN RAIL PASS:
A JAPAN RAIL PASS will be valid for 7, 14, or 21 consecutive days which will begin on the date the pass is first used. An Exchange Order MUST be converted into a Japan Rail Pass within 3 months of purchase.
REFUND for JAPAN RAIL PASS:
An Exchange Order that has not been converted into a Japan Rail Pass can be returned to our office for a refund. A 10% cancellation fee will be applied.
LOST OR STOLEN:
A Japan Rail Pass or Exchange Order can not be reissued if lost or stolen.
